paano na kaya~ ♫
Today, December 29, 2013, we had been given a chance to meet Bugoy Drilon, a Filipino singer known for his songs Paano Na Kaya and many others.
He had a mini-concert on the stage nearby our Jimusho and it just happened that they had to make it to the stage from there. Luckily, too, I visited there that day... Not that I'm an avid fan or whatsoever, but I sometimes listen to his songs.. *Just thought of dropping some words of memories here*

2nd Blood Donation
Had made it to Jimusho a little bit earlier than usual. I'm planning to had my second blood donation today since it's the last day of the Phlebotomy Training at the Jimusho. I volunteered to be Acchan's subject, she's one of the participants of this training. But due to some circumstances, somebody else did the extraction to me. They kinda failed to extract from my right arm, so they did it at my left. Somehow, they had a hard time, I guess...
After the extraction, and up to this point, my left arm is kinda hurt still.. :/ Hmmmm how I wish I brought Kame-chan for me to have some pictures to be saved from this donation. My first blood donation was last September this year, and I had not saved any pictures , too.. On my third and onwards I'll make sure to capture some.. :D
Talking about my weight. Lately I'm very concerned with it. I usually weigh within the range of 51-53 kilos. Looks like this past few weeks I lose some weight. Due to my-puyat-mode? my-coffee-addiction? plus I kinda eat lesser than usual lately, and that I somehow skipped my meals.. Tsk. Seriously.
The night before, I tied to weigh myself and realize that I'm only 49.8 [One of the criteria to be a good blood donor is to weigh 50 kilos and more.] I'm 0.2 kilo short :DDD The next day, I ate my brunch at around 11am, then ate some more burger at noon. Gladly, when they weighed me, I'm 50.0 kilo exact! Great~ But I had to wait until past 3pm in order to be extracted and that time, I'm back to 49.8 kilos. But still, I wanted to donate blood so I went on. hihi. After my donation, I'm down to 49.5 kilos. :DDDDD :P

Simple Yet Loads of Fun with the Red Cross Family
It was just a simple Christmas Party of the Red Cross Family La Union- SFC Chapter. But still we enjoyed every moment together with everyone. Foods, games, gifts, and raffle draws, too... the bonds that we had created today were something that added more colors to the whole event.

Red Cross Fashionista: Rummage Sale with Love
Last November 17, 2013, Philippine Red Cross La Union- SFC Chapter's RUMMAGE SALE, a #redcrossfashionista fund raising event had been held at San Fernando Plaza. This event is in line with the fund-raising events of the organization that will proceed to the relief operations for our Kababayans that had been affected by Bagyong Yolanda.
I wasn't able to bring Kame-chan (the camera I always use) so i wasn't able to grab some shots for this event. Good thing, Mai-chan is there :DDD

Bonding moments while on duty #surfingbreak2013 #soulsurf
October 24-26, 2013.
Surfing break at Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union, Philippines.
La Union Soul Surf.
Philippine Red Cross were invited to participate in the said festival in order to assist with some medical emergencies or incidents that might happen from the preparation up to the final day.
This is my first time ever experience of Surfing Break so I'm kinda thrilled...
It was super hot, but still, it was a very great experience.
I was only able to be on the morning shift 8am-5pm on Day 1 and Day 3.
But still, I'm thankful that I was there to be apart of the awesome festival.
The waves of the San Juan are really great.
That's Acchan and me from our first days of fun. :DDD
Philippine Red Cross: My SFAT/BLS-CPR Experience
I really have a lot of thoughts and say for this training experience.. So, I no longer know how to start this one. :/
Philippine Red Cross La Union Chapter once again conducted another Standard First Aid Training and Basic Life Support- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation last October 14-19, 2013. The Standard First Aid Training aims to equip participants with knowledge, skills and confidence in providing care for a person who has been injured or suddenly become ill. This includes lecture and demonstration on bandaging techniques, emergency transfers and common emergencies. While the Basic Life Support- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Course aim to equip participants with knowledge, skills and confidence to perform management to a person whose breathing and heartbeat suddenly stopped. This includes lecture and demonstration on performing foreign airway obstruction management, rescue breathing and CPR. These two are under the Safety Services, which is one of the major service arms of the Philippine Red Cross.

We went to conduct a Re-echo of First Aid on two elementary schools from this town. This is an activity under the Disaster Risk reduction in Schools Project of the Philippine Red Cross with the support of the German Red Cross.

Door to Red Cross
It felt like I am about to start another experience as I enter the hall of Red Cross La Union Office that morning, September 1, 2013. At the same time, I was feeling a bit anxious when I saw the faces of the other participants of the activity. It seems like all the other participants already are acquainted with other.. as they happily greet each other. There I was ,then, staring at the floor, not saying anything... feeling more and more restless as time went on. I was already there, but I kept on thinking, what if I didn't choose to accept Odie's invitation two days before... What are the things that I might be missing? And since that I was already there.. What are the new things that awaits me? Will the people I'll be meeting in that hall bring some changes to my life? I'll never know if I won't continue with this path that I had chose to take.. But I'm sure that my Red Cross Experience is gonna be worthwhile.
